Production for this outstanding offering from proprietor Gérard Bécot was relatively abundant in 2004 (7.200 cases from a blend of 70% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Franc, and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon). An exuberant, modern-styled St.-Emilion, it exhibits lavish quantities of toasty new oak along with notes of black cherries, espresso roast, concentrated format. With impressive purity, depth, and length, it should drink well for 15 or more years.
