Grapevines and pomegranates have the same origins and are typical of the Mediterranean region. The pomegranate also has the same charm, beauty and intensity of the grape. The “Granato” is dedicated to this ideal blend, an especially concentrated and dense Teroldego that takes root from the stones of five different vineyards of the Campo Rotaliano.

A decade of use of biodynamic preparations has led to a great balance and a clear expression of the characteristics of each vineyard. It is for this reason that Teroldego Morei and Teroldego Sgarzon have been bottled separately starting from the 2009 vintage .
The new project of Fontanasanta on the calcareous clay soils of the hills above Trento gave rise to Nosiola Fontanasanta and Manzoni Bianco Fontanasanta.
There are two distinct levels of quality that Elisabetta Foradori has aimed at producing from Teroldego: the first is the ‘Foradori’, marked by the purity, dignity and intensity of the fruit. The second, called ‘Granato’ is a wine of greater strength, harmony, depth and nobility. The vines are cultivated on different terroirs (varying quantities of pebbles and gravel), with different exposures and with differing quality potential. Despite the area being quite small, Campo Rotaliano offers a great variety of soils at a distance of just a few hundreds of meters. Another element that distinguishes these two wines is the age of the vines, the planting density and the grape yield per vine. The grapes are vinified separately, plot by plot, and only after ageing in wood are the wines from different parcels of vines blended to obtain an ideal balance.
