Merlot Inkiostro 0,75L Abruzzo IGT

Best Merlot of Italy in 2013, Inkiostro is fruit of the desire to make amazing grapes. After some tastings of French Merlot, Luigi Valori decides to bet on this variety in Sant’Omero, where he finds a similarity between the local sandy soil and that of Bordeaux. To obtain a high quality grape, the plant requires a very high density (5,500 vines per hectare) and uses a special clone from France, which produces very small and concentrated bunches.
The aging in barrels for 18 months makes Inkiostro a powerful wine, with an impenetrable color, absolutely balanced in all components.
