Vivien Ujvari (Oenologist) „At Barta Winery, a leading family-owned artisan Tokaj winery in Mád, we strive to preserve this special land and its soil for future generations. Thus we try to cultivate our historical First Growth vineyard organically. 2020 was a cool vintage that required meticulous sorting of phenolically ripe grapes in mid-September for this limited-production wine. Gentle pressing and sedimentation were followed by fermentation partly in French and partly in Hungarian oak, a quarter of which was new. The wine was then aged on fine lees for a total of 4 months.“
